Imagine the happiness and sadness of an alien who takes refuge in Blue Planet.
Create the daily life and the adventure of an alien who admired earthlings and an earthling who fell in love with an alien.
The story takes place in the world where six years ago, a massive wave of refugee aliens landed on Earth. Our nation agreed to accept 250,000 aliens, called Epicurals. Though naturally taking the form of slime, the alien life forms have come to transform into human form to live on Earth. However, in our country, a Homeland Defense Force was formed out of a movement against the aliens.

Six years ago, a massive wave of refugee aliens landed on Earth. Our nation agreed to accept 250,000 aliens, called Epicurals. Though naturally taking the form of slime, the alien life forms have come to transform into human form to live on Earth. However, in our country, a Homeland Defense Force was formed out of a movement against the aliens.
The protagonist of this story is Ken, a street artist who makes his living selling “Poetry and Dance.” He has a girlfriend named Hotaru. Hotaru is ninth in line to succeed the Epicural throne. Kuroi, the leader of the Epicural Friendship Association, has unraveled perceived misunderstandings towards Epicurals, and in order to improve human-Epicural relations, he asks Hotaru to assume the throne as the 83rd Queen. Hotaru is conflicted. Though she has been living with Ken, she had not revealed her true identity to him. In order to save the plight of her people, she tells Ken the truth. Ken is shocked that his girlfriend turns out to be an alien. After struggling, he accepts her, and Hotaru is overjoyed. They spend a happy night together. The next day, as Hotaru is getting ready to go to work, Ken notices that she has transformed into a completely different person. She is overweight, and has aged about 20 years. Ken is shocked. Hotaru insists she is still the same person.
Kuroi arrives with a TV director to try to convince Hotaru to assume the throne. Ken is in a panic, but Kuroi doesn’t seem bothered by Hotaru’s physical change. “She looks a bit bloated and haggard, but her inner waves haven’t changed at all.” Apparently Epicurals are not concerned at all with earthly outward appearances. Hotaru agrees to become Queen. Kuroi is overjoyed.
Soon it becomes clear that Hotaru has taken on the appearance of the human form when she first landed on Earth. Usually Epicurals are capable of only one transformation, but Hotaru, who possesses strong mental energy, had transformed twice. The second form she’d taken was the young beauty that Ken had fallen in love with. The movement to remove aliens becomes increasingly heated, and there is growing animosity against the Epicural Friendship Association. The fattened, aged Hotaru attempts to stop the Homeland Defense Force. Hotaru is dumbstruck when she sees the face of Tsvartokian, the extremist in the Friendship Association. The fighting begins. When the conflict intensifies, the previous version of Hotaru, young and beautiful, reappears. Ken, who had followed them into their campaign, is elated.
A video of Hotaru leading the charge is uploaded onto the internet and she is suddenly catapulted into fame. However, Ken, who appears by her side, becomes a problem: Kuroi believes that he is not an appropriate man to be the Queen’s partner. Kuroi demands that Ken end his relationship the Queen. Meanwhile, the leader of the Homeland Defense Force plans to face off with Hotaru publically on TV.
It turns out that the leader of the Homeland Defense Force has a crush on Hotaru when she was working at a fast food lunch spot, and his attack against her begins to wane. His subordinate Oki proclaims on TV “You aliens destroyed the original human beings when you copied yourselves into their form – you’ve murdered thousands of humans, haven’t you!” Hotaru and her cohorts are shocked.
The face-off is planned to be broadcast live on the most widely known news channel. Is there evidence of genocide? Will Hotaru prevail? Will Ken leave his love for her sake? Then, a woman appears at the Homeland Defense Force. She is a young, beautiful woman, the original human whom Hotaru copied herself after. She claims that Hotaru tried to steal her boyfriend and kill her. The story reaches its climactic conclusion.
